All Burkett's are of German origin. Burkett family is one of the oldest in
Europe.
There is a large colony of Burkitt's in Lincolnshire, England, they
migrated from Germany.
There is about 18 Main Lines of Burket's in the USA. I would have to
say all Burkett's are related way back in GERMANY, then they branched out all
over the world.
There is about 50 different spellings for the name, the original name was
Burkhard, In England they are the Burkitt's/ Burket's in Germany they are the
Burkhard's/ Burkhardt's/ Burkard's. The Burket's were here with the Jamestown
colony in 1607, that was before the Mayflower colony in 1621.
The Burkett main lines have became heavily entwined in the colonies and makes it
very difficult if not impossible for most people to figure out their Burkett
lineage.

Note: George Washington came down from Royalty, One side Irish nobility,
the other side Scottish nobility. George Washington was 6 foot 3 inches tall,
weighed 225.
The average man of that era was 5 foot six inches tall and 140 pounds.
The difference was because the diet from a lineage of abundant meat in
George Washington's heritage, others , commom people lived mainly on
grains, and etc.
After the Rev. war was over, they wanted George Washington to be King Of
the Colonies, he said no, we just fought a war over that, we will have a
democracy, a govt. of the people, for the people and by the people.
